The following is adapted from You’re Not Broken.
It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that you have to struggle and work hard to achieve anything. That idea is embedded into every culture I know of, after all. I mean, think about it: how many times have you heard someone say that the key to success is to work hard and persevere, no matter how tough things are?
Not only that, but people seem to look down on other people who achieve success without “having to work for it.” No matter where you look, you bump into the idea that real success has to be “earned” through hard work.
But what if I told you that this simply isn’t true? I know, it sounds crazy. But I’ve helped thousands of people learn how to manifest anything they want without struggling through years of hard work. Heck, I’ve done it myself, over and over again.
You know what the real key to getting what you want is? To remove the difference between your identity in the current reality and your desired reality. I know this isn’t an idea most people are familiar with, so let me walk you through it. It may feel a little strange at first, but it’s not hard, I promise. It is, however, life changing. Ready? Let’s do this.
The Now is the Future
As far as your identity, your emotions, and your behavior goes, the “now” is the “future.” In other words, the way you feel now must be how you will feel in any future.
If you want to manifest thoughts into reality fast, you have to understand this concept. When you do, you will realize that you are not dependent on a future outcome to feel a certain way. You arrive at success or failure as the same person.
This is the key to it all. You must be 100 percent satisfied with life now in order to create more of what you love. You must be peaceful and powerful. You must be in love with what you have and involved with what you are creating. You must be focused on the end result and loving the journey to get there.
It may sound like I’m asking you to be two different things at once, but I’m not. What I’m asking is for you to realize that you are all things. You are “it”…always. Once you realize that, you will be able to maintain satisfaction at how things are while simultaneously creating more.
Maintain Your Motivation
When I explain this to people, one of the first things they say is that they are worried that, by stepping into their future feeling and experiencing it now, they will “lose motivation.” You may be thinking the same thing: if you already feel 100 percent good/abundant, why would you take action?
Well, think about it. When your identity says, “If I had it all now, how would I be motivated to do anything?” it’s showing its cards and letting you see just how much it rejects achievement of the end result. It’s more worried about losing motivation than having what you believe you want to have.
You can have it all now and choose what you would love to create. That desired reality is not better than the current reality, it’s just different. When you are able to realize this, your results don’t change you. You are free to have anything you choose. It’s just like going out to dinner and picking off a menu—ordering your end results from life should feel just the same.
The everything you seek is not found in your creation. You are not your creation, and what you create does not change you. That’s what I mean when I say “the now is the future.” When you are 100 percent satisfied, you realize you will be the same person whether you are a millionaire, broke, healthy, unhealthy, single, or in a relationship.
You might say, “I will have a million dollars please, and a side of unconditional love.” Great! Whether your creation is at the beginning, middle, or end of the journey, it won’t change you. You are not it. You are separate from the creation.
Become a Magnet for What You Desire
When you really arrive here and now, complete, being everything, and with a desire to create what you love, you become a magnet for what you desire. There is no resistance to taking the correct action.
It doesn’t stop there, either: when you have everything now and still want to create more of what you love, you become what I call a Superconscious creator. That’s when life becomes even more fun!
So, ask yourself: can you be happy now, independent of external circumstances? Can you arrive at success and failure and feel the same emotionally? Of course you can. You just have to embrace the idea that you must “be it before you see it.” You must learn to “own the moment” 100 percent of the time.
You have the ability to close your eyes and have it now. I have not met a human who cannot find some aspect of love, gratitude, abundance, and health now, and it doesn’t take hard work or years of struggle, either, does it?
What You Plant Will Grow
Whether you’ve consciously experienced this or not, I can tell you that this is a universal truth. What you plant will grow, and the identity and emotions and thoughts you have now will produce more of the same. You cannot plant seeds of scarcity and grow a forest of abundance.
This is the same as you. You are planting your thoughts into this reality, even if we cannot see them.
The seed is the forest, and you are your end result, even if it hasn’t manifested in this reality yet. Your now is your future. Once you master this concept, everything will flow. Trust me; I fought this idea for a long time. I thought the answer to problems was hard work and struggle. I thought I had to fix myself and my reality. As soon as I realized I could be all things—own the moment and be 100 percent satisfied no matter what my external circumstances were—I opened the doorway to achieving everything.
